Digital portrait of Asian film star Fuka Sakurai, created in Macromedia Freehand and Adobe Photoshop. The kanji text reads: "However far away, I will always love you", and across her face appears the Chinese symbol for 'eternity'. This portrait draws it's inspiration from the Makura no Soshi of Sei Shonagon. It is concerned with the strength of love across distance and time.

Erica Lee is a Canadian illustrator trained in graphic design and photography. Her portraits reflect the 'snapshot' dynamic of modern lo-fi photography, and are now being produced on a large scale equal to the visual impact of the saturated colours.
