Mimex is a wearable set for mobile entertainment and communication. It consists of a customizable headset and two gestural input devices. Mimex uses the potential of Augmented Reality to transform everything that surrounds your lifestyle into an immersive experience. Accordingly, it offers more social alternatives for entertainment and communication to social networking in a non-virtual environment. The headset is for audio-video output and the handheld devices are for many ways of inputs. Mimex is a smart hardware solution that can detect direction, acceleration, gestures and bio-condition with the use of various sensors placed on the headset and the handheld modules.

The flexible hinges at the ear support bring a flexible usage. The user can intuitively place the headset around virtually everything (head, neck, a bag...etc). The general hook-like form allows the structure to be placed on everything, if not in use.

For inputting, Mimex uses two handheld devices. These are just like mice or joysticks that can control the whole interaction of the devices. Each handheld device consists of two independent controllers. These controllers are totally interchangeable depending on user's needs. Depending on the context, whether it is for communication or entertainment, users can plug in different inputting solutions.
