With the 'split' light series we aim to change the perception and experience of fluorescent lighting. Splits' modular structure of individual clip-on elements encourages interaction with light itself, so that it can be modified to suit changing situations and satisfy individual needs. The 'split' lighting system consists of elements that are clipped onto an acrylic tube containing the fluorescent light source. The elements can rotate individually around the tube and change the direction of the emitted light into individual sections, effectively creating multiple light directions within one fluorescent light. The choice of clip-on modules and their combination define the ‘resolution' of the light. All modules can be used and mixed for every standard length of fluorescent tube available.
